3. Your own AI model usage

The specialists run on a large language model, and you bring your own key — Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. You pay that provider directly for what you use, and Space Office adds no markup. For a small business's workload, that's typically tens of dollars a month, not hundreds, and it scales with how much work you actually push through the team.

The costs that usually surprise people aren't in this bill. There's no setup or onboarding fee, no per-seat pricing, no annual contract or retention call (monthly cancels monthly), and no markup on model usage. The one variable to watch is your own model spend — push enormous volumes through the team and provider usage rises — but it's metered and visible, and you control the throttle.

When an AI team isn't worth the money

If your work is a few hours a month, or it's one deep specialty you'd rather own yourself, an AI team is more than you need. The value compounds when you have a real spread of work — content, design, SEO, ads, ops — that no single person or tool covers, and not enough time or budget to hire for all of it.
